  1. 31 Sig Regt has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00383-01-SIG OP, or 90000-ATR to commence on 15-NOV-2021 until 14-NOV-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • Experience working in a Res F environment. in CFTPO, with Monitor Mass, MITE, CFRIS, Guardian.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Regt Crypto Cust is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Regt COMSEC Account, the distribution of Crypto material to units across 31 CBG, and the management of all individual training related matters within 31 Signal Regiment. The Regt Crypto Custodian is a position with two major areas of emphasis. On a day to day basis the bulk of the Regt Crypto Cust's time (70%) will primarily be spent performing Regt Trg Sgt duties, with the remainder of their time (30%) being spent managing the Regt COMSEC account. Coordinate and track all IT nominations for the HQ and subordinate unit personnel, ensuring nominees meet course requirements, and forwarding prioritized noms IAW Bde direction. Assist subordinate units in acquiring vacancies on external unit level formal IT and Out of Service Training (OST) as required. Submit and confirm approval of all in house training IAW Regt Op Plans and ensure their inclusion on the National Training Calendar. Coordinate and confirm the completion of all Regt HQ and subordinate unit SHQ formal IT training documentation. Capture key training statistics to track unit and HQ effectiveness in preparing soldiers for training; provide summary and recommendations to Ops O and complete data entries into Monitor Mass as required. Ensure subordinate units are familiar with IBTS reqr; track completion and BPT report progress to Ops O, including drafting applicable orders, instructions, requesting training facilities, instructors and nec equipment. Track these activities through Monitor Mass and CFTPO. Be responsible for all CT in the absence of Ops NCO, including building of Regt Tasking Briques in CFTPO, orders, and booking of Training resources and areas. Liaise with, unit, Bde, formation, IT Schools to coordinate required IT training for the Regt. BPT brief the CoC on IT related matters. BPT act as the Ops NCO in their absence. Perform other duties as directed by Ops NCO. Be thoroughly familiar with the appropriate sources of information on COMSEC material (INFOSEC 2) and maintain records in accordance with instructions therein. Receive, maintain, properly store security material and ensure required measures are taken during and transfer or shipment of COMSEC material when issued to Bde and Regt Sub Unit Elements. Loan material to authorized persons within the Regiment and Bde, ensuring that they hold a proper security clearance and are specifically instructed regarding proper storage and other security requirements involved. Inspect Bde and Regt Sub Unit Local Elements as required. Be prepared to brief the CoC on all COMSEC related matters.
