  1. 5 CDSB Det Aldershot has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00164-01-COOK to commence on 30-NOV-2021 until 29-NOV-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.
    2. MOS ID: 00164-01-COOK
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Reliability Status
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT

  4. Basic description of duties: A. Maintain rations according to entitlement;
    B. Ensure adequate supplies of non-food related items are on hand;
    C. Ensure repair or replacement of equipment and fixtures in the galley;
    D. Provide culinary technical expertise and monitor the production of all menu products;
    E. Be vigilant to waste management practices, ensure proper conservation with raw and cooked food products;
    F. Supervise subordinates, promote team effort, and provide guidance when required; and
    G. Ensure all personnel adhere to a high standard of dress and personal hygiene in all food service areas.
