  1. CMTC Det Kingston has a Class B Permanent for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 10-JAN-2022 until 09-JAN-2025. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  4. Basic description of duties: GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITES
    The Army CT Plans and Trg Validation Officer is primarily responsible for planning the Army Level 1 resource requirements, IAW ATA Direction, as well as planning and executing Army CT evaluation and validations.

    DUTIES AND TASKS
    1. Army CT Plans roles and responsibilities include the following:
    a. Planning and coordination of resources required for planning CT that will achieve assigned Battle Task Standards and Foundation Training;

    b. Conduct day-to-day resource management;

    c. Maintain situational awareness of training and exercises (INCAN and OUTCAN) through monitoring and liaison with various stakeholders - CANUS officers, ITE, Divs;

    d. Represent ATA resource interests/direction;

    e. Coordinate with other POC at CMTC, CADTC, Army Staff, CJOC WRT CT resourcing;

    f. Participate in drafting annual CMTC and CADTC direction for CT;

    g. Provide input to Chief Army CT during the development of briefing notes, briefings, and other required documents;

    h. Participate in working groups and planning conferences as required;

    i. Perform tasks as required by Chief Army CT; and

    j. Understudies Deputy Chief Army CT.

    2. Army CT Training and Validation roles and responsibilities include the following:
    a. Assist in the design, development and delivery of Trg evaluation and/or validation;

    b. Develop and maintain the CT validation priority list;

    c. Develop and supervise the preparation of survey tools to include:
    (1) Developing survey questions and tasks lists;
    (2) Gathering data for validation purposes;
    (3) Coordinating translation of validation questionnaires;
    (4) Review CT supportive documents;
    (5) Analyse survey results and statistical data IOT produce evaluation/validation reports; and
    (6) Monitor responses to reports.

    d. Deploy to CT locations to assist exercise planning objectives as requested / required;

    e. Coordinate with Divs/Bdes/other agencies, as requested, to assist in defining the aim/objective/development of exercises IOT address evaluation/validation results;

    f. Participate in initial and subsequent exercise planning conferences as required;

    g. Staff Exercise validation plans; and

    h. Coordinate with Army Lessons Learned Centre and other Army organizations, as required, to ensure the proper capture and integration of CT lessons.
