  1. C Army has a Class B Temporary for a Cpl/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00003-01-NCM, or 90000-ATR to commence on 22-OCT-2021 until 21-OCT-2023. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Cpl/Cpl
      Pte eligible for promotion may be considered for position.
    2. MOS ID: 00003-01-NCM, or 90000-ATR
      All MOSIDs will be considered.
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      • Course Remarks:
        • UPAR course not required but would be considered an asset.
      • Competency Remarks:
        • a. Strong verbal and written communication skills, English essential, but preferably in both official languages;
          b. Excellent interpersonal skills;
          c. Self-starter who can work under pressure;
          d. Motivated to work without supervision according to an assigned schedule;
          e. Strong knowledge of MS Office software suite (excel, word, ppt);
          f. Strong research, organizational and planning skills essential;
          g. Ability to carry out assigned tasks with a min of supervision; and
          h. Ability to work individually.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • a. Ability to research and collate information from a variety of sources;
      b. Experience providing advice to Officers and senior civilian public servants;
      c. Experience working in a HQ environment; and
      d. Knowledge of and experience with Social Media would be considered an asset, especially if in a Government of Canada
      context.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. Manage daily operations and interactions for the Canadian Army (CA) Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts;
    b. Research, source, write and edit social media and CA website content;
    c. Update and publish content to social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flikr and Instagram);
    d. Identify new content opportunities and explore ways to repurpose existing content;
    e. Monitor CAF social media accounts and share or repurpose content on the CA website and social media channels;
    f. Provide input into web and social media communications planning as required;
    g. Be aware of the latest best practices, tools and trends for practitioners of online media;
    h. Occasionally monitor comments and publish social media posts after hours;
    i. Assist the Digital Media Supervisor with equipment management and purchasing; and
    j. Prepare other communications products, as required.
