  1. 5 Cdn Div TC has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00010-01-INFTR to commence on 08-NOV-2021 until 07-NOV-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.
    2. MOS ID: 00010-01-INFTR
      Inftr preferred, if no suitable Inftr NCM applies other trades may be considered.
    3. Language: Bilingual
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT

      • Course Remarks:
        • 1. DP 3 Inftr qual to be ISCC or RSCC;
          2. If non-Inftr then DP 3 MOSID qual; and
          3. For under ranked applicants, preference will be given to those qualified to be promoted to the rank of Sgt.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • A. Applicants who do not meet the language requirements of the position may be considered. However, priority will be given to those applicants who meet the language requirements of the position.
      B. Knowledge and experience in teaching small arms, drill classes and field craft;
      C. Familiar with conducting inspections;
      D. Knowledge/experience with the army DP1 and DP2 systems;
      E. Recent experience with instructional/standards duties;
      F. MS Office skills;
      G. Familiar with Army Individual Training Information system (AITIS); and
      H. Expertise assessing and employing battle procedure an asset.
  4. Basic description of duties: A. Perform Sect Comd instructor duties in fd and garrison;
    B. Oversee the performance of the sect 2 I/C;
    C. Perform the duties of Pl 2 I/C in their absence;
    D. Provide direction for instruction of small arms, drill and fd craft;
    E. Train, administer, coach and develop students;
    F. Assess candidates during skill, drill and knowledge lessons;
    G. Participate in PRBs as required;
    H. Prepare weekly assessments and course reports;
    I. Supervise a demanding physical fitness program;
    J. May be tasked as demo staff in support of training/crse; and
    K. Unit secondary duties as assigned.
