  1. 31 CBG HQ has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00002-01-Officer, or 90024-GSO to commence on 01-NOV-2021 until 31-OCT-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Canadian Rangers, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      One rank lower and one rank higher may apply. Other ranks will only be considered if there are no suitable Capt applicants. If one rank higher is the selected applicant they will relinquish their rank for the duration of the period of services.
    2. MOS ID: 00002-01-Officer, or 90024-GSO
      Cbt Arms preferred.
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      • Competency Remarks:
        • - Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite;
          - Knowledge of Monitor Mass;
          - Knowledge of CFTPO;
          - Strong Organizational Skills;
          - Strong written and oral communication skills;
          - Ability to function under pressure of constant deadlines; and
          - Previous experience drafting Exercise/Operations documents.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • - Knowledge of CFRIS;
      - Experience working at Level 3 (Brigade) or higher;
      - Knowledge and profile of CSNI;
      - AOC qualification preferred; and
      - ATOC qualified
  4. Basic description of duties: -Employed as G3 Collective Training (CT), the successful candidate will report directly to the G3 31 CBG;
    -Perform the duties of the Acting G3 as required;
    -Maintain effective interaction with G3 staff at 4th Canadian Division Headquarters;
    -Maintain effective interaction with operations personnel in 31 Canadian Brigade Group (31 CBG) units;
    -Track and monitor all CT by ensuring compliance with the approved Operational Plan;
    -Track completion of Individual Battle Task Standards (IBTS) within 31 CBG;
    -Coordinate all OUTCAN at the Brigade level with regards to Cross Border Movement Requests (CBMRs) and Visit Clearance Requests (VCRs) for Division action;
    -Coordinate Land Use Agreement (LUA) process at the Brigade level;
    -Coordinate and action CT waivers as required;
    -Coordinate any Op Plan amendments as required after unit Op Plan approval;
    -Be prepared to assume the role of Senior Duty Officer (SDO) in the Brigade as required;
    -Draft General Instructions, tasking orders, general orders and other pertinent military writing as required;
    -Prepare all documentation including letters in support of OUTCAN CT by 31 CBG units
    -Be prepared to support 31 CBG activities on Temporary Duty out of the local area for up to 90 days;
    -Liaise with 31 CBG G5 as required; and
    -Complete secondary duties as assigned.
