  1. 39 CBG HQ has a Class B Temporary for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00178-01-ARMD to commence on 18-OCT-2021 until 30-APR-2022. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      Under/Over ranking shall only be used in exceptional circumstances, where no established rank qualified candidate is found suitable by a Board Report and approved by Div HQ. Higher rank will relinquish rank for the duration of the emp pd.
    2. MOS ID: 00178-01-ARMD
      Any trade with experience may apply
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals: N/A
    8. Position requirements for regular force annuitants permit IAW CMP instruction 20/04: Yes - Option 2 ( (# 20/04))
  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • (1) Staff Offr experience
      (2) HQ experience an asset

      a. intermediate/advanced computer knowledge with ability to use MS OFFICE suite.
      b. experience as a staff officer.
      c. knowledge of Bde / unit Ops
      d. experience in preparing staff work
      e. experience in working in a Bde (or higher) HQ
      f. be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
      g. be a self starter and able to work independently
  4. Basic description of duties: Responsible to the Bde G3 for all matters relating:

    a. resp for all trg and ops functions in the bde
    b. able to act as G3
    c. hosts weekly formation and unit ops coord meetings
    d. staffing of reports
    e. willing to undertake all responsiblities that would be expected of a Staff Captain
    f. liaise with units and external organizations on G3 matters
    g. all other tasks as directed by the Chief of Staff and G3
