  1. 5 Cdn Div HQ has a Class B Permanent for a MWO/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 25-OCT-2021 until 24-OCT-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: MWO/Capt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment. This is a Capt position, therefore, IAW LFC Emp Dir, only NCMs of MWO/CWO rank may apply. Further, as CWO is a controlled rank, only CWO suitable and willing to CFR will be considered. WO may not apply for this posn.

      • Course Remarks:
        • 1. HQ staff experience and operational experience are assets; and
          2. Previous experience in CIMIC or PSYOPS is an advantage.
      • Competency Remarks:
        • Working knowledge of Monitor Mass, Guardian, and CFTPO is an asset.

  4. Basic description of duties: Responsible to the G7 through the G7 CT, the successful candidate's duties will include:
    A. Perform as a staff officer within the collective training (CT) section of the G7 branch;
    B. Planning, preparation, and execution of exercises;
    C. Production of correspondence, orders and briefings;
    D. Deliver briefings;
    E. Principle staff officer within the Div G7 branch for CIMIC and PSYOPS trg;
    F. Maintain currency with IA doctrine;
    G. Tracking IA course loading;
    H. Participating in writing boards;
    I. Participation in national and international level CIMIC training;
    J. Lead on G7 lessons learned;
    K. Maintain IA data;
    L. Act as liaison officer/duty officer during domestic operations;
    M. Other duties as assigned; and
    N. Frequent travel, field time and weekend work will be required.
