  1. 21 EW Regt has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 02-OCT-2021 until 01-OCT-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.
    2. MOS ID: 90000-ATR
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      • Course Remarks:
        • (1) Highly motivated to work in recruiting;
          (2) In possession of valid provincial driver permit and able to obtain a DND 404;
          (3) Appearance, dress, physical fitness and ability to communicate effectively reflect favourably on Canadian Armed Forces;
          (4) Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
          (5) Ability to listen, ability to discuss and build good relationships with young adults; and
          (6) Be proactive in the building and sustaining of relationships with Canada's aboriginal peoples, visible minorities, first generation Canadians and women's groups.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • The following experience and skill will be an asset:
      A. Top Secret - Special Access;
      B. Preference will be given to members who possess the National Army Reserve Unit Recruiter (RUR) course. Secondary consideration will be given to Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre (CFRC) trained recruiters or those with CFRC and/or Army Reserves recruiting experience such as previous employment in the Unit File Manager/Reserve File Administrator (UFM/RFA) role;
      C. Experience working in the EW/SIGINT environment;
      D. Experience using CFTPO, Monitor Mass, DRMIS and Microsoft Office Suite;
      E. An operational deployment;
      F. Have or be willing to obtain the Fitness for Operational Requirements and CAF Employment (FORCE) evaluator course;
      G. Have or be willing to obtain DND 404s;
      H. Experience with Canadian Forces Recruiting Information Management System (CFRIMS);
      I. Experience with WEBSCPS2 in a DEC or A/USS Role;
      J. Experience managing requests for TSSI to NSC;
      K. Unit Public Affairs Representative course is an asset but not essential;
      L. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite;
      M. Ability to work with minimal supervision; and
      N. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with Canadians, particularly youth and EE groups.
  4. Basic description of duties: A. Conduct recruit processing to include conducting CFAT and managing paperwork, medical and force testing;
    B. Conduct attraction activities as planned to include, online job banks, job fairs, school and other suitable events;
    C. Conduct recruit interviews using the Army Reserve Standardized Interview Format (CASAR), triage competitive files as necessary;
    D. Supervise and Manage, provide OJT for UFM/RFA & DEC role employed pers in the recruiting shop;
    E. Coordinate Initial accounts, Sec Cl Requests, Kitting and enrolment of recruits;
    F. Participate in Reg F and Res F general unit military activities (e.g. PT, PD, IBTS, Etc.); and,
    G. Be available to work extended hours, on weekends, and tasks on TD in Canada.
