  1. 10 Fd Regt has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 04-AUG-2021 until 03-AUG-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Cadet Org and Trg Service, Canadian Rangers, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      Under/over ranking shall be used in exceptional circumstances, where no established rank qualified candidate is found suitable by a Board Report and approved by Div HQ. Higher rank will relinquish rank for the duration of the empl pd.

    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • Preference will be given to members who possess the National Army Reserve Unit Recruiter (RUR) course. Secondary consideration will be given to Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre (CFRC) trained recruiters or those with CFRC and/or Army Reserves recruiting experience.

      a. Desire and ability to represent the CAF to all Canadians;
      b. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with Canadians, particularly youth and EE groups
      c. Physically fit, demonstrated initiative, high motivation, integrity and pride in the profession of arms
      d. Modern computer and technology skills, including familiarity with social media applications
      e. Have or be willing to obtain the Fitness for Operational Requirements and CAF Employment (FORCE) evaluator course
      f. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite to include; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
      g. Have or be willing to obtain DND 404s
      h. Have or be willing to obtain a PKI card
      i. Experienced with ACIMS navigation
      j. Experienced with Adobe
      k. Experienced with Canadian Forces Recruiting Information Management System (CFRIMS)
      l. Unit Public Affairs Representative course is an asset but not essential; and
      m. Given the nature of CAF employment, previous operational experience is an asset but not essential.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. Develop a unit attraction plan to include the execution of all the attraction activities included in said plan;
    b. Respond to information requests from potential candidates and receive applications;
    c. Conduct recruiting consultations with prospects to the CAF;
    d. Conduct applicant interviews and enrolment ceremonies as necessary;
    e. Keep current on CA recruiting policies and directives, ensuring they are followed;
    f. Liaise with other 38 CBG RURs, CFRCs and Nav/Air Res recruiting staff on attraction events/activities to avoid market saturation;
    g. Keep current on CAF recruiting programs, initiatives and advertising regulations to ensure products and messaging are in line national interests;
    h. Maintain situational awareness on unit releases and provide unit strength reports as required;
    i. Brief unit command on recruiting, release and over growth statistics of the unit as required;
    j. Update or create interfaces with social media in partner with the 38 CBG Public Affairs Officer; and,
    k. Perform other assigned tasks as required.
