  1. C Army has a Class B Permanent for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 07-MAY-2021 until 06-MAY-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Maj/Maj
      Capt/Lt(N) eligible for promotion to Maj/LCdr and LCol/Cdr who are willing to relinquish their rank can apply, but will only be considered if no qualified Maj/LCdr is available.
    2. MOS ID: 90024-GSO
      Any MOS ID will be considered.
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      • Course Remarks:
        • Army Operations Course an asset (103886), Joint Staff Operations Course (114030) an asset.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • a. Min one (1) year experience in an operational or strategic-level headquarters;
      b. Demonstrate experience with CA IM polices and procedures;
      c. IM exercise planning and conduct experience an asset;
      d. Tactical information management officer course (TIMOC) or Tactical information management team course (TIMTC);
      e. Familiarity with the relational databases;
      f. Familiarity with metadata;
      g. Familiarity with record-keeping;
      h. Familiarity with information life-cycle;
      i. Familiarity with electronic document management;
      j. Army Operations Course an asset;
      k. Joint Staff Operations Course an asset; and
      l. Navy / Army / Air Staff courses an asset.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Canadian Army Information Management (IM) program, primarily focusing on
    the operational information management domain. This includes the adoption, maintenance and institutionalization of IM standards, high-level IM planning for coalition exercises, aligning operational IM with in-garrison IM, and ensuring the incorporation of IM requirements into the design and development of Army Communication Information System (CIS) capabilities.
    b. Duties will include but are not limited to:
    (1) Collaborating in operational-level planning with applicable stakeholders;
    (2) Collaborating with strategic and operational level planning staffs within DND/CAF, OGD and with NATO and other international
    (3) Providing assessments / recommendations with respect to business process modeling;
    (4) Represent CA in working groups nationally and internationally;
    (5) Provide assessments/recommendations to the Canadian Army Command and
    Staff College (CACSC) for development, planning and preparation of information management officer curriculum; and
    (6) Perform other duties as directed
