  1. INFANTRY SCHOOL has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00180-05-INF to commence on 01-FEB-2021 until 31-JAN-2024. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      Maj willing to relinquish and Lt qualified for promotion to Capt may apply, but will only be considered should no candidate at the Capt rank apply and be found suitable. Lt not eligible for promotion may be considered for under-ranking.
    2. MOS ID: 00180-05-INF
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • ATOC (AOC preferred)

      a. Demonstrate experience in a staff position at unit and/or headquarters level;
      b. Demonstrate superior to outstanding administration, leadership and communication skills as well as being a proven team player;
      c. Demonstrate the ability to work with minimum of supervision and minimum direction within fixed timelines;
      d. Have experience within a Canadian Army Infantry unit, both domestic and deployed;
      e. Have experience in a training environment such as a training school in positions such as instructor, course officer; and
      f. Have experience dealing with reserve training issues.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. supervise a staff of both regular and reserve infantry officers, WO and NCOs;
    b. work as an officer ds for INF DP, Infmn DP or OSS courses;
    c. provide support to various Infantry School courses within scope of qualification and training;
    d. assist the training companies when required if ARes candidates require ARes specific support through their home unit. Supervision of unit non-public property;
    e. assist the deputy director (ARes) and RCIC CWO (ARes) with their duties as required;
    f. participate in all school activities ie. PT, Adv Trg, Indoc Trg, PD seminars; and
    g. other duties as required.
