  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • a. experience with Canadian Rangers (CR) and Junior Canadian Rangers (JCR) is an asset;
      b. must be ready to work occasionnaly in severe climatic conditions ans in isolated northern Quebec regions;
      c. must be resourceful, have a lot of initiative and be honest;
      d. must be skilled with Microsoft Officie suite.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. reports to the O Log and is his right-hand man;

    b. must be available when 2 CRPG HQ personnel are deployed and questions or problems arise regarding breakdowns, contracting or otherwise;

    c. when faced with a problem, must be able to analyze the situation and find logical and practical ways to correct the situation;

    d. work as a team and in conjunction with his supervisor and the other cells of 2 CRPG;

    e. involves the various stakeholders required when medium and long term Log plans are designed;

    f. receives reports of equipment breakdowns and verifies them to ensure that all forms are complete;

    g. is the contact person for contracting. For 5K purchases, he is responsible for preparing the statement of requirement, in cooperation with the applicant, forwarding it to the next level and following up on it;

    h. is the contact person for unit members when there are questions about rules, laws and procedures;

    i. develop and maintain good contacts with the St-Jean Garrison, the GS 2 Div and civilian suppliers in order to support the mission of 2 CRPG;
    j. act as a technical advisor to support Pl purchasers;
    k. ensure that the administrative processes for procurement files are in place and adhere to the standards in effect at 2 CRPG.
