  1. 5 CRPG Det Goose Bay has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 02-SEP-2019 until 01-SEP-2022. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • A. Experience with ATV, LOSV and small boat;
      B. Classroom and field instruction experience;
      C. Proficient with map, compass and GPS;
      D. DND 404 required;
      E. Background in outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, fishing and exploration would be advantageous as 5 CRPG trg is outdoor based consisting of overland and coastal travel by LOSV, ATV and powered boats; and
      F. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  4. Basic description of duties: Descriptions of duties include but are not limited to:
    A. The coordination, conduct and supervision of operational tasks;
    B. The coordination, conduct and supervision of domestic operations;
    C. The coordination, conduct and supervision of North warning system sites security visits;
    D. The coordination, conduct and supervision of Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger mandated, enhanced training and other training or events;
    E. Professional development training as directed to include continuation of leadership and advanced Trg nec for career advancement as well as enhance unit capabilities to support training;
    F. Completion of personnel, patrol and group administration in support of all CR and JCR patrols or tasks; and
    G. Other duties and tasks as assigned.

  9. Remarks: A. Extensive weekend travel throughout NL; B. Member will be deemed successful applicant upon completion of screening for isolated posting; C.
