  1. C Army has a Class B Permanent for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 04-SEP-2017 until 03-SEP-2019. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Maj/Maj
      Capt/Lt(N) who are fully eligible for substantive promotion and LCol/Cdr who are willing to relinquish their rank can apply, but will only be considered if no qualified Maj/LCdr is available
    2. MOS ID: 90024-GSO
      Any MOS ID will be considered
    3. Language: Bilingual
    4. Security clearance: Top Secret

          (4) Electronic document management;

          (5) Microsoft Office Suite including MS Outlook;

          (6) CA IM policies and procedures; and

          (7) Information System Technology.

          B. Members holding a Secret security clearance may apply and be appointed to the position, however a successful applicant with a Secret clearance will be required to apply for an upgrade to Top Secret immediately upon acceptance of any job offer.     • A. Basic knowledge of information architecture.

      E. Ability and experience in dealing with all levels of military and civilian staff.

      F. Knowledge of the CA organization and structure and command structure, and ability to seek information within this construct.

      G. Knowledge and experience with management practices and techniques for work forecasting, scheduling and planning.

      H. Ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative appropriately, and without direction.

      I. Comfortable dealing with senior staff and external CA organizations.
  4. Basic description of duties: A. Under normal circumstances, the primary day-to-day duties of the incumbent of the position will consist of:

    (1) Responsible for the development, implementation and evolution of the CA IM governance (IM Strategy, IM CAOs, IM Campaign plan, IM TTPs/SOPs).

    (2) Provide IM subject matter expertise to CA senior leadership.

    (3) Provide subject matter expertise to CACSC for the planning and the preparation of the IMO Course (2 x serial per years).

    (4) Provide recommendations for IMO Course instructor cadre.

    (5) Based on CA IM institutional and operational needs, prioritize the IMO Course students' nomination for each IMO course serial.

    (6) Assist the Army Doctrine Centre (ADC) in the development and maintenance of the CA IM Doctrine.

    (7) Assist CJOC and provide the CA input for the development of the CAF Joint IM Doctrine.

    (8) Attend LCSS CCBs and provide IM impact analysis to LCSS Change Requests (CR).

    (9) Provide coaching and mentoring to brigades IMOs.

    (10) Participate in ABCANZ IM Information Architecture Project Teams (PT) responsible for the development of IM standards. Responsibilities include authoring the PT terms of reference, attending the ABCANZ annual meeting (international travel required), directing and participating in the standards' review process with all CA IM stakeholders, and participating in or leading a two week ABCANZ PT every year.

    (11) Act as the CA IM planner for exercises (e.g. JOINTEX, JWA, LSE, etc.) and operations (e.g. OP IMPACT, OP REASSURANCE, etc).

    (12) Provide subject matter expertise to DLR with regards to CA IM requirements for the development and evolution of the LCSS (e.g. staff and ops processes, backup, archiving and recordkeeping, ORBAT manager, information exchange requirement between LCSS HQ, TBMS and ISSP).

    (13) In support of CADTC, provide subject matter expertise for the development, integration, maintenance and evolution of CA IM tactical TTPs/SOPs and staff BTS:

    (14) Act as the Cap Dev IM SME.

    (15) Maintaining effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
