  1. 5 CDSB Gagetown has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 06-SEP-2017 until 05-SEP-2020. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      IAW Ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.
    2. MOS ID: 90000-ATR
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      • Competency Remarks:
        • 1. Experience in providing advice or guidance to the chain-of-command on interpretation of diverse regulations, policies or operating procedure for Bde/Fmn operations;

          2. Experience in development and/or implementation of Div Operation Orders or Support Instructions at the Bde/Fmn level;

          3. Experience in Bde/Fmn level planning, including participation in diverse working groups and planning conferences to develop operation/support/training requirements;

          4. Experience in supporting operations at a Bde/Fmn level;

          5. Signficant and recent experience in providing written/verbal briefings to CoC and Comd;

          6. Significant and recent experience in writing Bde/Fmn level Operation Orders or Support Instructions; and

          7. AOC Qualified (preferred).
    8. Position requirements for regular force annuitants permit IAW CMP instruction 20/04: Yes - Option 2 ( (# 20/04))
  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:

      B. Unit Ethics Coord;

      C. Harassment Advisor to Commanding Officer; and

      D. Other secondary dutiies as assigned by CO/DCO Operations Branch.
  4. Basic description of duties: A. Participate in Div-level planning conferences for major training Exercises; produce back-briefs for CO Ops Svcs and Comd on 5 CDSG sp requirements;

    B. Review and/or produce a variety of Operations Orders and Support Instructions;

    C. As directed by CO Ops Svcs Br, coord and direct Operational Planning Groups at the staff level with a view to drafting Operations Orders;

    D. Coordinate review and annual update of various Operations Orders and Support Instructions; including the 5 CDSG Emergency Preparedness Response Directive and Standing Orders for Base Auxiliary Security Force and Land Support Component;

    E. Coordinate support for major training Exercises within 5 CDSG AOR: including but not limited to Ex COMMON GROUND II, STAGED RESPONSE, STRIDENT TRACER, NIHILO SAPPER, NORTHERN SOJOURN;

    F. Coordinate support for visiting units to 5 CDSB Gagetown: including but not limited to Units from other Divisions and/or visiting American Units;

    G. Frequent liaison with Lodger Units at 5 CDSB Gagetown and surrounding OGD and non-governmental agencies;

    H. BPT act as a staff officer for the 5 CDSG Operations Centre (OpsCen) when stood-up in response to a Force Protection emergency; and

    I. BPT act as a staff officer for the 5 CDSG Land Support Component (LSC) when stood up in response to a Domestic Operation or major Divisional training Exercise.
