  1. CF RP Ops Gp HQ has a Class A for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 28-MAY-2018 until 24-MAY-2019. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      One rank above or below may apply, but if no suitable Capt is found, higher rank will have to relinquish their rank for the duration of the employment.
    2. MOS ID: 90024-GSO
      ATR, but preference given to MILE gp if any applicants
    3. Language: English or French
    4. Security clearance: Confidential
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • A. Proven proficiency interpreting and applying policy, and developing local instructions to ensure efficient, effective and compliant administrative processes,

      B. Experience accessing, processing and managing transactions using the official departmental systems of record to include: HRMS / Guardian, RPSR, e-staffing, Monitor MASS, etc.
  4. Basic description of duties: The J1-3 Mil helps the J1 in administering all military personnel, processes career transactions, pay and benefits, coordinates staff selection of CAF members, and maintains corporate and historical records for the CF RP Ops Gp. Reporting to the J1, duties include:

    A. support directing the implementation of DND personnel and administrative policies, regulations, orders and directives;

    B. exercising accounting, administration and personnel control as required;

    C. provide advice and ensure action is taken on all O&E matters;

    D. managing the completion of all documentation governing enrolments, promotions, transfers, postings, medicals, pay, TD, leave and releases of RP Ops Gp members, and civilian employees;

    E. ensuring secure processes are established for maintaining and controlling all personnel and administrative files;

    F. implementing administrative processes to control and store correspondence, records, publications, orders, policies, directives and data, including electronic media;

    G. providing advice and assistance to civilian employees and military staff with respect to pay, training, policies and professional development;

    H. ensuring the completion of Personnel Development Reviews (PDRs) for assigned personnel;

    I. ensuring that the Performance Evaluation Reports (PER) on assigned personnel are completed in accordance with regional and national policies and practices; and

    J. ensuring that all Terms of Reference for assigned personnel are reviewed annually in March for accuracy and that recommended amendments are forwarded to the Formation for approval.
