Welcome to the Canadian Army Lessons Learned Centre (ALLC).

Mission

The ALLC will report observations and lessons from operations in order to support the Army Learning Process.

DISPATCHES is a publication that allows experience soldiers usually expert in a specific matter to explain the lessons learned on recent operations. The magazine outlines new tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) that are gleaned have proven effective during operations (best practices). Each issue focuses on a major theme in line with the Army Critical Topic List. DISPATCHES publications are based on one topic or theme.

The BULLETIN provides soldiers the opportunity to share their experiences. The Bulletin publications is based on short articles for soldiers by soldiers and the articles may be on a wide variety of topics.

To enable soldiers, units and formations to LEARN more from their experiences during training and operations. The website will seek to do so by serving as:

• A central source of common reference material and courseware for the After Action Review Process and Observer Controllers to supplement the training and education which must occur in the field.
• A forum for the exchange of Army, CF and Allied experiences, ideas and suggestions regarding the implementation of the After Action Review Process and the employment of Observer Controllers.
